Dashing Through The Snow

August 9th, 2015 | By admin

MOVIE ALERT – Another song of mine was selected to be in the movie “Debbie Macombers Dashing Thru the Snow” (Hallmark) and I’m singing the song as well!

Stranded at an airport at Christmas-time, ASHLEY DAVISON accepts a ride from DASH SUTHERLAND, who has just rented the last car in town. Ashley sells crafts for a living, while Dash is supposedly a house painter. Although they initially clash, romance soon blossoms during their journey -- but the fact that Dash is a secret FBI agent who has been assigned to monitor Ashley, a suspected enemy insurgent, may ultimately put a crimpin their fledgling relationship...

The Red Carpet

November 26th, 2010 | By admin

The Hollywood Music in Media Awards. This was such an exciting event and I met so many wonderful people! I had a double nomination in two different categories. My song ‘Best Friend Forever remix’ was nominated for Best Song in the Dance category and my other song ‘Dreamers’ was nominated for Best Song in the Contemporary Christian category. I didn’t win but hey I won last year 😉 and you can’t win every year, right? There were some amazing musicians from all over the world that were nominated so I was absolutely thrilled just to be a part of it. Jane Fonda, Natasha Henstridge, famous composers, video directors and music supervisors attended. I was thoroughly inspired!

Billboard Review

JANYSE, The Magic of Think
“Absolutely top drawer for the genre“

You might not necessarily know her songs, but if there’s a pre-tween in the household, chances are Janyse Jaud is already a member of the family. The voiceover vet has provided the audio persona for such animated heroes as “Strawberry Shortcake’s” Orange Blossom, Pinkie Pie in “My Little Pony,” Catwoman in Batman Motion Comics, Melissa Duck in “Baby Looney Tunes” and a cast member of the popular “Ed, Edd n Eddy.” Her “The Magic of Think” concept—which now comprises 2008’s “The Magic of Think” and “The Magic of Christmas” and 2009’s “This Day Is Mine” and “Dreamers”—was born from experience with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, leading to an award for her remix of “This Day Is Mine” by Hollywood Music in Media. With vocals, music and lyrics by Janyse, the tracks deliver exactly what one would hope for and expect: positive messages with easily digested sing-along melodies and spirited, youthful vocals, often in kiddie character. In “I Won’t Worry,” she muses, “I won’t worry about a thing, because I know what today will bring/Something wonderful, something great, is happening to me and I can’t wait.” Likewise, in “Why,” Janyse assures, “Remember to be a best friend to yourself first/How can somebody else like you if you don’t like yourself?” Production throughout is first-rate, predominated by easy-breezy dance beats, the occasional midtempo ballad and a bluegrass throw-down tossed in for novelty. Parents are likely to have a short fuse for the persistent cutesy signature here, but kids are destined to sing these songs over and over, all the while taking in their wholesome resolve. Absolutely top drawer for the genre. Cortney Harding, Billboard Discoveries
